Small Poetry Prompt - Write a poem about a very small object

Small Poetry Prompt - Write a poem about a very small object

Eyelashes:

so tiny, so fragile
one small gust of wind and its out of sight
holds the magic of a wish
within the small fibers
lightly edges eyelids
one bat sends a heart crazy

47 lines each eye
4 lost everyday
4 wishes possible
4 opportunities to get it right
4 carefully picked wishes

curls toward the sky
opening your eyes, wider, brighter
bare, always exposed
nothing to hide

can be painted, extended, fake or natural
glazed with mascara
showing someones personality

gently balanced on the tip of the finger
eyes focused, ready to wish

inhale, exhale, gone.
